AI Copywriting: Do You Think AI Will Replace Copywriters

Copywriting Introduction:

Clearly, anyone who asks that question, they have never written a copy in their lives. Because if you are an actual copywriter or copywriting that you know, AI will never replace copywriters. In fact, AI is designed to help copywriters.

Back in the days:

When you write copy, when you run a full-page ad when you write a direct mail piece when we send it out, it takes a long time, sometimes weeks for us to get a response back to know if, hey, did that piece work in my copy work?

but nowadays because of technology, we can get data back so much quicker, to make adjustments, to make changes within our copy. An AI would never be able to do what human beings do. Think about it,

When it comes to closing when it comes to copywriting, closing in print when it comes to communication, is a transfer of emotions.AI doesn’t have emotions. Right?

It’s pattern recognition. So AI will never replace the thinking aspect of a copy. How are you going to put together the offer? What do people want? What are some of their emotional needs?

Someone, a professional copywriter needs to think that through and then be able to put together something that you know what? I think this is a solution. This is something that the marketplace wants to buy.

So I don’t see AI replacing copywriters or closers or many professions that I recommend in my lifetime anyway. Now AI will replace a lot of other professions, professions that are simply repetitive work or manual labor, right? Things that don’t require creativity.

We are shifting now, from the job economy to the skill economy, and one of the things that change is, now more and more so, things that could be done by machine will be done by machine. Human beings, now we can focus on doing creative work, we are getting paid based on our creativity, our skill sets, our thoughtfulness, not just doing mundane, repetitive tasks.

I think it’s a beautiful thing. For some people who cannot adapt, it’s not so good but for those who could adapt, I think it’s very, very good. And it doesn’t mean that you cannot use software, maybe you could use software like Instant Scripts, at instantscripts.com to help you to write faster and better, right?

Back in the days when I had to come up with a headline, I need to go through pages and pages of notes, I need to find a headline from this magazine, from here and from there to come up with a headline and it takes a lot of time.

And now with simple technology like Instant Scripts, I could simply fill in the blanks and just choose the headline that I want, and scroll, scroll. Here, here, here, click, click, click.

How much time does that save me? So as a professional copywriter, don’t worry about those. A lot of people use this as an excuse. Really, they’re fearful. They’re afraid of getting into this industry. That prevents them from getting started, it’s BS.

Use technology to make you a better copywriter. Use data to tweak your offer, to tweak your pricing, to tweak your headline so you can respond, and then test different angles and different hooks in different stories.

So you get better, faster. So done properly, utilized properly, AI will make you become a more effective and more efficient copywriter. The ones who actually haven’t done it, then forget about it. It’s a waste of time, they’re not gonna do it anyway. So that’s my take on, will AI replace copywriters? Short answer.

No.

Not in my lifetime.
